Kokedema is a Japanese for Moss Ball
A way of working with nature, not shaping it into perfection.
The practice of Kokedama is rooted in Japanese philosophy.
It values balance.
Stillness.
Imperfection.
In making one, you slow down.
You touch soil.
You begin to notice things differently.
Wabi Sabi is about learning to find beauty in the imperfect and incomplete

Celebrating the Success of Our Kokedema Workshop
We are thrilled to share that our recent kokedema workshop was a resounding success! With over 62 attendees, participants dove into the art of creating their own kokedemas, learning the techniques and secrets behind this beautiful Japanese plant art.
A highlight of the event was the insightful sit-down with gardening expert Betty Mugoya, where we explored the deeper essence of the garden and its impact on mindfulness and well-being.
We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Yamasen Restaurant for partnering with us and creating a wonderful atmosphere for the event.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this workshop truly special!
Nature Art Series Workshops
In our most popular workshops, we create an array of living works of art together, both digitally or in-person. These hands-on workshops get us to think outside of a traditional planter. We build terrariums, mount plants for wall-hanging displays, and make mossy kokedama. Our staff will ensure everyone leaves the workshop with a beautiful new living sculpture.
Kokedama: Create a moss-bound sculpture that can float midair or bring interest to any tabletop.
Terrarium: Create a microcosm in glass for your home or desktop. We make both easy-care desertscapes and tropical junglescapes.
